Holllllaaaaa mis amigos!! All those emojis just about describe how I feel right now. I actually can't believe the day is almost here
Ok so it has been actually so crazy the last couple weeks...time for some updates!!
The part member family we have been teaching are sooooo amazing they feed us every time we go over, but that isn't the point. We had a lesson with them that was so powerful, and we invited him to be baptized, and he was like "well I was already baptized." But then get this his WIFE was like your baptism doesn't count because they don't have the sacerdocio. He didn't accept the invite triste
We had a lesson with Rafael and arecely and we tried getting them married and everything. And they were just like we will do whatever we have to so that we can get baptized before you leave.
Mission temple trip
it was honestly the most powerful temple trip I have ever been in. I learned more than I ever have before, and I some questions answered
We met la familia quintero!! They are soooo cool!! We went and watched zoom church with them, and someone bore their testimony about baptism. And they were all like "how do we prepare???!! " So now we are trying to help them prepare for baptism!!
The 4th of July wasn't anything super special, but we got together with the other Hermana's and watched the fireworks together it was really tender
ellas son mi familia
I got to spend the best day ever with HNA WRIGHT in BEL 1!!!!! We had so much fun!!! We taught this really cool lesson to a guy named Nelson we met on the street. And we talked about church and the spirit and explained the importance of feeling the spirit. He hasn't seen his family in 2 years, and he is working to send them money. He started crying. We then further explain how we can receive a constant companionship of the spirt after we are baptized!! And now he is preparing for baptism woo-hoo.
Got to eat lunch with the familia Solano today! They truly became my family away from home and it was such a blessing to see them again!
trying the give the lord my all right now and push to the finish line. Last 100m here I come
I found a cool quote this week from elder McConkie and where he explains more of the point on baptism by fire. He says...
Sins are remitted not in the waters of baptism, as we say in speaking figuratively, but when we receive the Holy Ghost. … We become clean when we actually receive the fellowship and companionship of the Holy Ghost. It is then that sin and dross and evil are burned out of our souls as though by fire. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is the baptism of fire.
I love you all, I'm excited to see you
Nos vemos pronto
Hermana Rigby
