More letters from mom

April 25, 2024   Dear Emma,  Hi sis. It's late, but I wanted to write you a letter. It was fun to hear your voice on the phone. I hope you found some relief in speaking with Jen. As for news from home- We are all well here. Happy, working hard, and praying for you! Madsen has a renewed focus for life, and he is doing great work at Papa Johns. He is also playing on a Spring City Softball team. He is learning much from his interaction with employees. Dad continues to amaze me with all that he handles. Grandma Rigby's cat attacked her hand and she got an infection. I find it somewhat funny even though I shouldn't. Dad listened patiently. The touchless car wash has been having issues, and he was able to fix it. He also has provided great support to Uncle Chris and Aunt Jen as they go to court with Kim Hansen. He completed the decks at the rental, and helped serve the widows in the ward dinner for the young men Activity. He is always on the go, but bears it a...

Work hard, love God

April 15, 2024   Missions are crazy, so much can happen in a hour, a day, or a week. I've been out here in Cali for a little over month now and I've found myself on the tops of mountains, but I have also spent so much time on my knees pleading with my father in heaven. I may only be 6.5 hours away from Cedar City but dang it feels like so much farther. Living in a apartment with 3 other fluent spanish speakers + not being able to connect well with my companion is hard, being away from family is hard, the ward relationships are bad which is hard, not being able to speak spanish and share my love of God is hard. BUT it's like running. You have to do a hard workout to get faster. You don't just magically get faster overnight. The same thing applies to a mission/life.  Ether 12:6 says that we don't recieve a wittness until AFTER the trial of your faith. Growing pains are necessary in order to grow. Whatever you are going through CHRIST KNOWS EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!   ...

Letters from mom

February 2, 7:02 AM  “Savior then savior now, deliverer then deliverer now” I heard that yesterday and I thought it was really beautiful so I wanted to share- have a great day! I love you ‘Em Hermana Rigby February 4, 2024 Dear Hermana Rigby, Hola Em, Hey sis, I loved seeing the photos of you and Sister Cox on Facebook , and it has been especially nice to receive communication through Sister Reber. I am so grateful for Sister Magleby. She worked at the Pizza Factory years ago with your aunt and uncles. She even played the piano for Uncle Chris when he sang to Aunt Jen at their wedding reception. The Weaver and Giles families go way back! What a blessing that she can give you hugs. I can't wait to talk to you Wednesday and hear all about your adventures. As you can imagine, I pray for you A LOT and worry about you just a little. After all, I am your mom- that's my job! Today, I taught gospel doctrine. It was a great discussion and spirit filled. I love hearin...
