6 month mark

Monday, July 22, 9:16 AM  6 months! Can you believe it. I know I can´t. These last 6 months have gone so different than I would have ever imagined. So many lows but also so so many highs! You all know and I how I love running analogies. I had a coach email a few months ago and just talked to me about how he thought my junior year my heart wasn´t in it and then my senior year he was in shock how well I did and how much I loved it. I am not going to lie I am still learning to love the mission just like how much I loved my senior year of cross country. In a BYU speech called "Let Us Run with patiene the Race That is Set Before Us" says that with little small steps you can begin to LOVE the race! I am sure each one of you right now are having a hard time just being happy where you are at. You are waiting for the next exciting thing to happen in your life, when quite honestly you could be missing the best "run" of your life. I know that we take a step back, count our bl...

Weekly Updates

7/8/2024 Well today was definitely a harder one but god is good and helped me find some joy. It's amazing to see h9w much more I turn to my savior now. After talking on the phone with mom this morning and crying I immediately got to my knees to beg the lord for some strength. After hermna G who I don't always get along with came And held me why I cried. We also had a little breakfast for hermana marble to just spend some time with her before she goes home. We visited our friend Maria today and I gave her a hug and it was just one of the best hugs I think I have ever felt. It was just pure love for her. Love that only comes through the Savior. We then found a family!! She is so cute! I am so happy we met her! She doesn't go to church so we hope she can come this Sunday. We then had a lesson with delfino. It was so spiritual. War zone on Whitier

July 8, 2024 Welll... this week was fun -people were lighting off fireworks in the middle of the day here all week it, sounded like bombs -getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and found where all the cockroaches have been hiding in our apartment(worst moment of my life) -on the 4th we got to eat dinner with our friend Delfino at his house. The soccer game for Ecuador and Argentina was on (best moment of my life) - became friends with these two brothers they both have gotten shot and they both want girlfriends (most awkward moment of my life). First talk in Espanol

Pe...

From Dad

July 10, 2024 Hermana Rigby, I’m melting it so hot! I hope you are drinking a lot of water and are finding some cool homes to visit! This record heat wave is a beast! Smoke has filled the Cedar valley these past two days from two big fires on Beaver mountain. I tried running this morning and my lungs burned with the smoke. Likely not a good idea. I went to Sportsman’s today and picked you up a couple hunting t-shirts (size medium mens). I ended up not having any medium Second East t-shirts – so sad and am sorry! I will get a package in the mail tomorrow or the next day! Hope transfers go well this week and know you will face any challenge that is thrown your way! I will print the attached photos/quotes for you and include them in your package! You got this! Loved the picture of the recent baptism. Maria makes you look so tall!!! Great photo that just gives me the warm fuzzies! I am super proud of you and Hermana Smith! It is Uncle Bruce’s birthday today. ...

July notes from mom

Hermana Rigby,   Hey sis, can you believe it’s July? I loved your video of the 4th of July war zone- crazy cool! Sunday afternoon- Adelaide gave a good talk and the dinner afterwards was fun. When we got home I took a fat nap and then aunt Wendy brought gma and gpa to second East for ice cream, and we played rook- it was the first time it felt like summer to me🤩 Monday and Tuesday I did laundry, grocery shopping, went to the gym, and I went walking with Julene and Anne. I like routine. Wednesday and Thursday we celebrated with some fishing, a side by side ride and fireworks. Dad and maleck spent a bit of $$, so it was fun and noisy. Friday and Saturday- back to work- laundry, cleaning etc. I really enjoyed CFM this week- I love the book of Alma and the stories of Alma and amulek’s missionary work.  Maleck did a bit of studying with me so that was nice. Maleck is getting anxious about football, and he is having tech problems with his Canvas course for driver’s Ed. He...

Tengo gozo en mi alma hoy

Hola, It's July This last week was so crazy! Lots of random opposition as usual, but we saw so many miracles! One being Maria got baptized! We were doubtful haha! Pero Dios quiere! jajaja! Prayers were answered and we found some cool new friends this week! We went to our friends papusa place, and they were LITERALLY SO GOOD! I got to run almost every day this week, so to say I am happy would be an understatement. Also got to go on exchanges with my homie Hermana marble this week, felt like the good old days back in El Molino. Over the last couple months, we read The Book of Mormon as a mission, and we just finished it this Thursday. My heart is so full of gratitude and love for this book! Moroni 10:32 "Yea, COME UNTO CHRIST, and be perfected in him, and day your selves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and LOVE god with all your heart, might, mind, and strength, then is HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, that by his grace ye may be perf...

June 25- June 30th

Well today was long but filled with lots of good things. I got my heart rate up to 180 this morning. It literally felt so good. We had goal setting as a zone this morning, cool to see the zone come together and make goals to help fulfill the fathers will. personal study today was good. I am so close to finishing the book of mormon. I really liked Ether 15:34. Just how it refers to doing the lords will, which is something that I am not the best at. Today the lord concecrated our efforts. We got a super prepared refferal who wants to learn more about the book of mormon. And the other one literally ran into us on the way back to our car. Finally seeing a little bit of the fruits of our efforst from finding!! Today we had interviews and I didnt cry!!! I talked to sister jones about family history and how the veil is thinner than we know. And president jones it was so good. He is very proud of me. He even told Hermana Smith that I am a very obedient dilligent missionary. He was also excited...
