The Craziest Week

 

Hola mi familia

This week really took turn. But we are all safe over here no worries!

-12 missionaries from our mission got evacuated, one area I served in at the beginning of my mission is completely gone, the smoke has been so bad. It is all so crazy because Tuesday we were having crazy winds, and right as we were about to go to have a lesson president said that all missionaries need to go home because fires are starting and there are hurricane force winds. My heart goes out to everyone that lost their homes. 

-We found a family that met with missionaries 13 years ago!! They are so cool and have the weeding announcements of the missionaries that taught them! We are so excited to start teaching them again! God's timing is perfect! 

- We have gotten some other cool referrals right now and found two families that are just a dad and a son! Jose and Jesse and then Andres and Andres Jr! Please pray for them

- Ana and Adriano passed their interview and are getting baptized on the 17th!!!!

-we are doing a big FHE tonight and putting on a play and giving everyone their own mission call and name tag! Should be super fun! 

-this week is going to be crazy busy with interviews with president, zone conference, and a baptism! Super excited though! 

D&C 1:20-23

20 But that every man might speak in the name of God the Lord, even the Savior of the world;

 21 That faith also might increase in the earth.

 22 That mine everlasting covenant might be established. 

23 That the fulness of my gospel might be proclaimed by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world, and before kings and rulers.

I am loving D&C right now! I hope you all are reading it a little bit! 

God doesn't need the mighty to preach the gospel. He just needs you

Journal Recap

1/9/2025

Monday: we got some super cool referrals! One of them he wants to quit drinking! So we taught about baptism and having a new start. He was so down and doesn't have work on Sunday. 

Tuesday: crazy day and crazy winds! Kinda a crazy day. We had to get to the mission office to get supplies! And the mission is experiencing miracles! It is crazy! We also had a super cool lesson with our new friends Jose and Jessy that came to church! They are so so sweet! And so prepared! Then we were headed to another lesson when we got a text from sister jones that everyone needs to go home. so that is when all the fires started! Crazy! Lots of missionaries had to evacuate. 

Wednesday: did a super good workout! Also got to talk to my best friend that day! Happy birthday daddy Travis! We also had to plan our FHE for Monday. I hate that we are in charge of it. It took up so much time and we hardly got anything done. Hopefully we can do what we need to to do today. But all in all I have faith to keep going! 

1/11/2025

The last few days have been kinda rough. I haven't had a lot of energy, and I have been getting annoyed very easily. But ana and adriono Are locked in for their Baptisms and. I had am exchange with sister Chan today in chinese work. It was fun. I needed a break. I really need to figure something out with myself rn. I don't really know what is going on I am having a hard time finding the joy. And yes, I know that you have to have the hard time to feel more joy, but I still don't like it.

11/12/25

Today was crazy we had 7 friends go to church! Then we also had a wedding baptism that we spoke at. It was in English. I was so happy. Then we had a member meal with the sisters which was fun! Because we never see them that much. And then we just went up and set up for the FHE and the elders almost scared us so bad.
