Sitting at the feet of an apostle

 March 10, 2025

WOW WOW WOW WHAT A WEEK! We biked and rode the bus everywhere (car fast week), got soaked because of the rain, and met so many cool people.

-we had our other FHE. It was hit. The members loved it and the papusas were so good. If you want to see it you can go to my Facebook and look at the posts I'm tagged in.

-met some inactive sisters that haven't come to church in 23 years and the funny thing is that when we went into their home they had the heat at about 80 degrees.  Talk about an oven

-got to go on Chinese exchanges again! Maybe they should've assigned me Chinese speaking... hahaha jk jk

-ate the best tamales ever!!!! Hna Tehuitzil. She really knows how go make me happy

-Sister Keller came on a Chinese exchange with one of the Chinese sisters I live with, and she loves to run too! So we went on a good run and went faster than I've gone in a hot sec. Best day ever.

-also handed out pass along cards on a run one morning! I wish I could run and do missionary work all the time

-ELDER RENLUND CAME!!! What an experience. To be in the presence of an apostle of the lord. One of my favorite things that he said that was... "On behalf of the Lord and his church, thank you." Let me tell ya I was crying. And we all got to shake his hand which was cool

-we took a friend to the night session to see him, and we are hoping and praying that the spirit testified that he is an apostle of the lord. Also sister spannaus came! She is so cool too!

-got to socal a year ago. Super crazy the time flew by insanely fast

Some little things that I loved from elder Renlund:

If we worthily partake and prepare for the sacrament each week and keep our covenants we WILL go to the celestial kingdom.

Les amo mucho. Jesucristo vive y les ama más que yo 😚

Journal recap

3/3/25
We had our FHE. AND IT WAS AMAZING. Everyone loved it! Lots of success. The hno is already planning another one. We also ate papusas

3/4/25
Well today was kinda long. We were on the bus and Bikes today. It was so fun. We found in active members of 23 years. A super cool new friend!! A good personal Study. God is good. And I'm exhausted.

3/5/24
Exchange day in Chinese work! It was fun! I feel like we didn't get a ton done today but it was super good. I hope that she learned something.

WOW TODAY WAS AMAZING. I GOT TO HEAR FROM AN APOSTLE OF THE LORD. and tomorrow marks one year getting into the field. And boy am I glad I stayed. He first said that on behalf of the lord Jesus christ thank you for being here. And I just started crying. There are so many things that were answered, and I just can't describe the light and joy that I felt. I know this church is true, and I know that this is the Savior's work. It was also so cool because he testified that the savior chose elder and sister jones to be our mission president and mission leader. I hope one day president jones is an apostle. So spiritually filled and so many things that I learned today that are going to help me throughout the rest of my life. Also, we took a friend to the women's session with him, and I just prayed so hard that the spirit would touch her heart and know that he is an apostle of God.

Today has been good. Hard definitely but so many little miracles that helped us going. A sister stayed with us last night that loves to run too. I love here energy. Shoutout sister Keller. We had a walk day today and walked 6-7 miles. I am dead. We found a cute family from Guatemala. We also found a cute family on the bus from Peru! They might come to church! As we waited for the bus we bought churros and they weren't ready by the time the bus was there, so sorry dad I wanted 11 dollars. While sitting on the bus, I was by myself and just started to tear up because today was just hard, but as a said a prayer I could feel like I could get through it. We went to dinner and we saw the elders pull up in their cars and they weren't supposed to be driving at all. It was supposed to be car fast week. That was depressing. But dinner was fun. I love hna Gonzalez. Then we went to a lesson and asked a member to give us a ride home and I just wanted to hug her and cry when I saw Her. Anyway, to say it was a long day is an understatement

Well today I just wanted to give up a little. This week was hard. More tears than usual. But I got an email from sister painter right at the right time. To help me “stick with it”. I am so grateful for that email and for her sharing how much she loves me and how much she is proud of me. It was definitely something I needed. No friends came to church:(. My companion that is going home is starting to make me a little frustrated. She just talks about it too much. Her energy is just a little bit draining. That's OK we are making it through. I also found out tonight that we have 3 visa waiters that are coming to the mission that will speak Spanish! So, I actually might be able to train!!!!
