October 2- October 7, 2024 - 100 degrees plus in Cali

 October 7, 2024

Hey Fam,

This week was a blast. Still is 100+ degrees here in Cali. Hopefully it starts to cool down soon. Mission life is actually insane. Being in a trio Still also makes things more interesting, but it honestly is just way more of a party. I love being a missionary. I love chasing people down on the street and sharing restored truths. I love waking up and knowing that there is a new adventure ahead of me that day. Not all days are easy. Just helps me understand the joy in the opposition. This new area is gorgeous. We drive through the mountains at least once a day.

Fun things & cool experiences
-saw all my homies at transfers
-met a super cool family by yelling at then out the car window
-did service at a food bank for 4 hours
-we have a pet cat named nova she eats our feet
-I got 2 agreessive drivings in 1 day iykyk
-ran around turning on general confrence for all our friends. I hope they can internalize the message so it can change their lives
-spent time in a members huge mansion it was GORGEOUS

This gospel is true. Don't doubt it. He loves you more than you know. Mortality works. You've got this, because HE has got you!

Wow today was absoñutñey insane. First day of the transfer. I am very very excited. We went to a food distribution center first thing after we exchanges! I got to see all my friends. It was very very exciting. I got some of the best compliments ever working there. One guy told me I made everyone's day y my posotive happy attitude. We live in a very nice house and neighborhood. It is nice to been in a real home again. Very comforting lowkey. We only had one lesson today but tomorrow is going to go crazy. I am exausted to be here. I hope I can help them out in the way that I need to. Trying not to doubt myself and the things I know. But I will do my best. super pumped though. Hna Hansen loves the outdoors and her family hunts too. So that is actually dope. Hahah. I am super glad hna gastelum is here with me too!! It is a nice breather.

Well I am exhausted hahah! It is hard to balance Giving them both the attention and help they need as they both are very new. So trying to figure that out. It is also hard to be like we can/can't do this when it comes to obedience so trying to figure that out to. I have been recently just working out on the back patio. This house is pretty nice. We have a full on couch. And it is nice to be in house that is decorated and clean. Feels normal again. Plus Judy is super nice and it is fun to talk to her. The work here is a lot slower. But I guess this is my time to patient. I am pumped for confence this weekend!

Ok I am doing a little bit of catch up right now. Yesterday we left the house right at 8:30 to go turn on conference for all of our friends. we were running around all day and got a good chunk of our friends to watch it! I am still figuring this area out. And this companionship. It is low key a little diffiucult. It is hard to follow up train cause I don't know what she knows and what she doesn't know. I have kinda forgotten but I just need to make it fun here. Yesterday we went to a huge house. One of our friends is the care taker for a 92 year old member. Her house was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed it so so much!!! fun fact. The house we live in has a cat. So fun because we can play with her. Also there is a keyboard. So get to play the piano. We didn't get to listen to a whole lot of general conference but the spirit was so so good. And it is cool to think about how much I have grown since the last general conference in April. I am currently sitting on the couch with my cow blanket at 7 am catching up. So hopefully today I watch more . And if not. I will be doing a lot of follow up watching. Hahah! Also we live in the moustains. It is so fun and beautiful!

10/6/2024.
Well today was absolutely so long. We met some cool people. watched the morning session this morning. So that was fun. But didn't really get to watch much more. I'll have to go back and rewatch it. We got some friends to watch it though! So that was good. Today we met 2 new friends by just driving by them and shouting out to them while inside the car! We went to this crazy park where there were a bunch of horses and latinos. Experienced the most awkward moment of my mission there. We also ate in at a members house. He lives in a trailer. It was interesting. But he is absolutely funny. We talked about football and running. I got complemented On my spanish accent. I loved with elder Wilcox said about “You got this, because Jesus has got you.” That helped me get through the day today. Also it has still been in the 100s so we are dying of heat but that is ok.
