October 14, 2024- journal entries and a note home- finally, the temperature drops

 Howdy howdy everyone,

 I am happy to announce it is only 60 degrees outside right now!!! God is good!

This week flew by so so fast. The work is constantly hype. A few cool things happened this week!

-the family we found in the street last week invited us over and we had a SUPER good lesson! And then they made us some bussin food!

-while doing service at the food bank had a lit of people ask me if I was from the south. I would personally like to thank Duck Dynasty and my little brother

- ate a Scooby-Doo sized sandwich at a member's house 

-our friend Kimberly wants to get baptized, but she has a hard time making decisions. So please pray for her 

-our friend Gema also wants to get baptized but her mom who is a inactive member is the biggest op. PRAY PRAY PRAY PLS 

-every friday we go to subway with some members of the stake and we found out that a 96 year old sister has a crush on elder uctdorf

10/8/2024

Today was good. Kinda slow but good. Went to the track today to run! Wonderful as always. We had a good district council about having faith. It was a good reminder. Today in pstudy I was reading a little bit mote about missionaries in the BOM to give me some more energy to keep going. I also got a email from stockton today so that made me very happy. I saw a picture of lily schank and Jaime sitting at zone confrence together. That made me very very happy. We had some lesson with some recent converts today. One family is from peru and they are absolutley the sweetest. They live in the tiniest of a house and are so sweet and humble. The other family they have been members for about 2 months but are already in active hahah. So we are trying to get them back to church. 

10/9/2024

Hello again journal. today was absolutley wild.We had our vision series and then we went and did 3 hours of service at the food pantry. It was fun. Very tyring. I met lots of people today and hopfully brightned a few peoples days. They gave us a bunch of churos in return today and they are so delicious. We had some crazy lessons in the park today. met a guy who was super high and was just laughing. and then we met another person who might be down to come to church. We had exchanges. And one of the STLs came with me and hna hansen and it honestly was just so fun. Like just a good time! And we also had a member give us food! So hurray! that was a blessing! Then we had good ol english class and I read the BOM in spanish. So all and all it was a fun day. 

10/10/2024

Well it was 1 year ago today I opened my mission call. And I feel like time went by super super fast. But also slow. I do not honestly know. Today just felt kinda anxious. We weren’t on schedule and I am trying to be more dilligent. And then i found out I lost my bike helmet in transfers so that got me all up in a bunch. And then I had a doctors appointment and I found out the acne medication they have had me on is not good for my body apparently, so that got me all nervous. But we had some cool lessons today. We went and talked to some yard wokers while visiting a members house. One guy was super interested and we gave him a book of mormon and one to his friend. Made a new friend by doing some phone calls in a travel. I got a redbull and some sweetart ropes from the gas station. Tried doing some finding in a trailer park that turned out to be all white people. Had a lesson with our recent converts and my mind couldn’t think any bit about spaish. Then we drove all the way to pasedena to pick up some sisters who are without a car. But all and all it was a good day. I am exausted. But Judy just brought us some cookies and they were delicous. 

10-11+12-2024

Last couple day have been crazy. On friday we had our weekly lunch at subway with some members. We basically all go inside push all the tables together and then us and a few other elders get fed by some super rich members hahah. It is fun! We also rode bikes on friday! It was gorgeous! My helmet got lost in transfers and my waterbotel holder thing got bent and torn off somehome. Also on friday the doctor called me back and was just telling me that the medicice that I was taking for my acne was killing my gut byome so I have to take it only when need and that I might be getting diarrhea. So I went and bought a probiotic to hopefully helpt a lilttle he said. We talked to some cool people on friday though. One of them might be pulling up to church. We also had sports night and we played soccer with the little kids. So that was super fun hahah. Saturday was crazy. We went over to our friend Kimberly! It was a super spiritual lesson. She is really cool. Her partner is a member of the church so he was there too. They aren’t married but they have 2 kinds together. But she is thingking about leaving him sadly. But she has been on bap date before and she said she wants to get baptized again! So yayayay!!! We also got bashed by someone in their underwear. It was very interesting. The spirit left so so so fast hahah. Iwas actually just very grumpy today. I took a nap during dinner to try and help it. It was better after. We then were driving to a friends house but then we saw a family of 9 walking so we hurried and flipped a U turn and chased them into a 7/11 where then we kindly rejected. But we tried. Then we went to go talk to a guy at his food truck but then he also wasnt too interested sadly. I was hoping we could´ve gotten free food or something.  

10/13/2024

Today was very long but good. We had church. The ward isn't as welcoming as wards I have had in the past. But it was still good. We had 1 recent convert and 1 friend come. So that's good. Had some chili for lunch. It was delicious. We were all tierd and beefing today so that is ok. But we met some cool people in the park. And then our miracle friend we found in the street we went to her house tonight and she is very nice. Her family is the cutest. And then they even fed us after. It was delicious. But we also had a member Meal. And so we had to go eat over there. Let's just say we are very stuffed hahah
