Notes from mom- 9/8/2024 and 9/15/2024

 

September 7, 2024

It’s time for our Saturday night date and a recap of the week.

It has been a fairly calm and lovely week. I enjoyed my Labor Day weekend, and it made the week fly by. I hope your week went well. 

Maleck didn’t have any JV football games last week, so life was especially calm. 

Tuesday, I cleaned the office after school for dad- it had been a minute. Dad and Stockton were gone hunting Tuesday- Thursday last week, and madsen went solo to capital reef Tuesday through Friday, maleck and I enjoyed so time spent together. Evening b-ball has started for maleck. 

The highlight of the week was going to the temple with gma and gpa weaver. I stood on the prayer circle with gpa and I was able to help gma with her clothing. A cherished memory will be holding their hands in the celestial room. They are so very dear to me🩷

I stayed late at school Friday. Afterwards, I took cookies to all of the Papa John’s stores. I am hoping to raise the morale by doing this once a month.

Maleck went to Ben Lomend with the varsity team Friday. CV won 42-0. Maleck played on the kick off team and played a bit of defense 4th quarter. He got home Saturday at about noon.

Today, was a great day! Dad and I went on an early morning walk and then I did laundry and scrubbed bathroom. Madsen, maleck and I went to lunch and then we dropped Maleck off for a haircut and Madsen and I went to get him a suit. I am going to have their pics taken in October. 

I spent the rest of the day reading, more cleaning, and putting on another quilt for Steele🩷.  It’s 10:30 and time to snooze!

Leydi and Bella made it to Peru safely. Stockton and Amanda went to Abe Huxford’s wedding today. Madsen and maleck are playing halo rn and dad is brushing his teeth.

I love you Emma. I put your name on temple prayer roll on Thursday. I am putting a fun package in the mail this week- enjoy!

Weekly update
Monday- I enjoyed watching Madsen’s softball games. It was a beautiful night.

Tuesday- I stayed latw at school, went on a walk, and then dad and I checked on gpa weaver

Wednesday- honestly not sure what I did. I hit the gym at 6 am rushed home to get to school. Seleck arrived late in the evening.

Thursday- quilted after school, made dinner, boys left for hunting at 5 AM  Thursday morning

Friday- good day at work, took a 40 minute snooze before hit the road for Manti- missed the exit to Salina- arrived late to the game. CV won. Maleck got a bit of playing time. Maleck and I had a good ride home. 

Saturday- maleck got the wash at 6:30- we slept in until 9- it felt good. I went on a morning walk with Julene, cleaned up a bit, quilted a bit, went to do baptisms with maleck- so cool! Took a late nap, went grocery shopping, went to see gpa Jake- gave him your card, I put away laundry, ironed, prepped my lesson. And now I am going to sleep. 

I love you Emma, and I miss you so much. You are the BEST. keep working hard and keep running towards Jesus!

Well today was long but filled with lots of good things. I got my heart rate up to 180 this morning. It literally felt so good. We had goal setting as a zone this morning, cool to see the zone come together and make goals to help fulfill the fathers will. personal study today was good. I am so close to finishing the book of mormon. I really liked Ether 15:34. Just how it refers to doing the lords will, which is something that I am not the best at. Today the lord concecrated our efforts. We got a super prepared refferal who wants to learn more about the book of mormon. And the other one literally ran into us on the way back to our car. Seven Months in the field

 Hey Hermana, Hi there, madsen, maleck, dad and myself are on our way to St. George to Raeghan’s farewell. Notes from Raeghan’s talk-  Song- child of light God knows and blessed each one of us Individually before we came to earth. Raeghan bore testimony of this   we can understand our mission on earth as we come to know Jesus Christ, personally. Personal prayer, church attendance- blessed her life- family and friends blessed her life too! “ what you do during the private times of your life will greater impact how you approach and combat struggle.- elder lBangherter Families are forever- gratitude for temples.
