January journal entries

 January 27, 2025

Monday: We had a lesson with andres and andres jr! they are so so cool! We invited them to be baptized and the accepted. Andres is such a good dad. He told his son that they are never missing church and they will walk in the rain, wind, or take the bus. Just whatever they have to do to get there. The dad also said that one day his son could serve a mission like us! They are so prepared. And then we went to bishops house to drop off a cake and visit them. They are awesome.

Tuesday: We went and got supplies. Had a 40 minute long lesson with our friend Elvis. It was cool it was about the plan of salvation. Then we went and had dinner with my favorite member. Hna Gonzalez! We had chinese food and watched a movied (produced by the church). But it was so nice! I can’t wait to go back and visit her!

Wednesday: I went on exchanges with sister chan! It was very healing. We rode bikes! We visted Maira Duncans sister and we made a new friend with a girl who is 20, has a 1 year old, and has lived in the states for 15 days. She met with missionaries in guatamala. So cool! Then we had lessons with Ivonne and Anakin. Then went to english class. And a guy who has been coming said he is going to try and swithc his day off to come to church!

1/26/25 Sunday 6:45am catching up
Thursday: probably one of the harder days this transfer. Ive been grouchy and upset. I don't even know what to do. But we had ALL of our meetings for the week today. Super crazy. But we got through and we ended the day with a play practice for the next FHE!

FRIDAY TEMPLE DAY: we went to the mission office for a thought before we went. And president talked about how the temple is often referred to as a mountain top. I then started to cry because I miss mountain tops and I was about to be able to go to one. The temple was super super amazing. I missed it. So much peace and love. And I love the new session. I still some how still managed to fall asleep a little bit. But the celestial room was amazing. We spent so much time in there. I had to drive there and back. So we spent like 5 hours in the car that day. And we ended up driving home through town LA. it was so so fun. And then we after we had a member meal and we went to a seafood Mexican restaurant. It was DELICIOUS. Me and one Of the elders were the only white people there.

Saturday: good day. We did a service where we helped people pick out temple dresses. It was so fun! I even got a dress! Then we basically just grinded to get everything done that day. Because we are running short on our lessons taught for the month. Oh and it also rained!

Sunday: Well we only had 1 friend come to church. And bishop doesn't like our recent converts. Lets just say I am a little salta about it. Today was rough but it rained so that was fun. I ate chicken noodle soup and cried. Jumped in some puddles and taught english class while listening to some good spanish music. We grinded to get our monthly goals. And we came 1 short of an lt.
