Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
My mission president often directs us to look in the mirror before we look out the window. Meaning see what you can do to fix your imperfections before you judge others. Try a little harder this week to do become a little more like HIM. I will be trying to too.
Los amamos mucho

Well it is Thursday and I am finally journaling about the week. We are headed to zone conference right now and I do not have to drive! Thank heavens! This week has actually been so busy. We have had a lot of service hours helping out getting ready for the Christmas party. It has been fun switching up the work. I am already getting sad that the Christmas season is almost over. Christmas as a missionary is so very cool. Sometimes it is very difficult to be away from home. But I am so grateful for this ward. They really just do make us feel like family! Monday was a very long day waiting for transfer news. But we went and stopped to visit our friend Adriano who is gonna get baptized and he was home all alone. It was so sad. but We taught him a little lesson. And Monday night we also got home and went walking because I could not stand waiting around for transfer news. So we went and looked at Christmas lights it was fun. And then we found out we were staying together!!! Thank heavens. We were jumping up and down screaming!! And Tuesday we didn't have a lot of success. But we talked to few people, and the weather was beautiful. So it was alright. And Wednesday we spent most the morning cleaning the sister's apartment because a new missionary came into the zone! It was filthy but we got it picked up. And then we had a lesson with our friend Juan! It was good. We talked about baptism and the gift of the holy ghost. He kinda reminds me of madsen becuase he has lots of ideas and talks a lot. But after that we went to our friend's house! Ana and Adriano. They are honestly the cutest!!! I love them. And we talked about the restoration and Ana knew quite a bit! It was really cool. She seems very excited to learn. And then we went to get dinner with the elders. And we have a new elder in our ward. We are excited to be with these elders. They seem really awesome. I am really excited for zone conference! I can't believe it is already the Christmas one! The time is flying by. I remember in July I was dreading Christmas time. Now I'm thriving. I love being a missionary

11 months! It is kinda hard to believe! But zone conference ended up being so so amazing! We ended up doing service projects! And the food was bussing + we got our Christmas gifts and I got sang to for my birthday in january hahah! We have been pretty busy. We have been tryig to meet with ana and Adrino. But she also didn't come to church today, so we are gonna have to push back her date. Maybe Adriano will get baptized this next weekend. We helped set up for our ward Christmas party ND it was so fun. We decorated the Christmas tree and sang and danced to christmas music. The members were eating it up quite literally. And then the Christmas party was actually the best. There was a dance at the end and me and hna zavala were dancing into the night. We wore matching christmas outfits and I think we were the star of the show. And our friends came to church today. Well, the two kids and this friend of ours who we met recently. He is very interesting. Oh we lo took the bus on Saturday. It was very very boring kinda. But we saw cool miracles and one of our new friends is gonna come to church next week. Feeling a little homesick at this point. I'm trying too not. But there is just a lot of thoughts going on in my head. But it is ok.

Recapping the moments from Christmas
Christmas eve:
We had to go to the office to get supplies that morning, and I am so grateful we did. I got to see lots of my mission family which helped the homesickness a lot. Every time we go to the office, we have announcements and recite the living Christ, and after the living christ I bore my testimony about the savior Jesus Christ, I felt the spirit so strongly. A memeber also gave us tacos for lunch on christmas eve they were so very good. We got to go caroling as a district and it was so fun to be with everyone spreading the gospel in a different way. After that us and the elders went to visit one of their friends in who lived in a two-room house. The most humbling thing. And when they opened the door, their smiles were so big and the welcomed us in with open arms. They also gave us food, which is a big sacrifice for them, because they don’t really have anything, so it was super sweet. Also, I forgot to mention that we went to ana and Adriano's house, and I wish we could’ve stayed there the whole night. It is always a joyous time to spend with them! And to end the night we had a member meal where we ate lots of ribs and tamales. It was delicious!
Christmas day!
It was definitely a harder day, and I am glad it is over. But we all started off by sitting around the tree opening each others Christmas presents! Then we went to the Mexican restaurant where we had breakfast with the zone! It wa so yummy! Then we played lots of games there too. And zone sports wasn’t completely lame that day either, me and hna zavala really just played 1v1 basketball! Then we went to our member meal! It was so homey with the Christmas tree and music and our member who we call “abuelaita” (grandma) she is amazing! And she gave us Christmas presents which was so so sweet! Then me and hna zavala ended the day looking at Christmas lights! It was so so beautiful!

So basically, the last couple of days have been hard. Yesterday was just rough. We are having some tension with the elders we ward share with. They seem to be very judgmental and they don't appreciate the things we do. Especially the way we do missionary work. And then we found out from president that Ana needs to come to church more, so that was really hard. And finally, I told Hna Zaval how she hurt my feelings pretty bad on Christmas eve. So that was nice we cleaned up some air. But we also sang karaoke with some youth in tye ward so that was fun. Today we woke up and played basketball, hna zavala is getting lots better. We had weekly planning today too and we got our area all planned out for the week too. I am still pretty frustrated with my family. So that kinda sucks. But we went to visit Ana and Adriano tonight and now they are getting baptized on my birthday which will be so so good! I am super excited for that. She is gonna make it into the water of baptism. J felt lots of joy, but i also lowkey have been super sad. I really hope tomorrow gets better. pero ahí vamos

Well yesterday was crazy. We had quite a few lessons. Especially with recent converts. We love them. We also stopped by inactive member for 20 years. She gave us food. We also went to bishop's daughters bday party yesterday. That was fun. And we ended the night off by teaching 3 teenagers. They were so chatty. We taught the restoration. They seemed to like it. We should have a lit of friends come to church today hopefully, so that will be good!
Today was long. But we had 5 friends come to church. The elders were still mean to us. I came me upset. So I went straight to my bed to take a nap. Couple days ago, we talked to president about the elders. And hna zavala Doesn't want to talk to the elders so we have been butting heads a little bit. our unity hasn't been the best. Stake correlation tonight was good though! So many miracles in our zone this month! And we had a 45-minute chat with president afterwards about this situation again. And we finished the night off by having a potluck Dinner with the Chinese missionaries! It was so fun!
