February Letters from mom

 February 1, 2015

Hi em,

Hermana- I am cuddled in Maleck's bed as I write this! Dad is under the weather and is adamant I don’t get it- he sounds horrible. It didn’t help that he took the young men in the ward ice fishing today. Poor fella.

I have been exploring Pinterest for home library idea a and a cuddle chaise for our bedroom.

Stockton, Amanda, and Steele are sleeping over tonight. They are in the process of moving to the middle floor of the rental. It’s fun to have a semi full house tonight.

Maleck had a much better game Friday- hurrah! I am actually waiting for him to come home as I type this. Saturday night fires in the pit are his new favorite thing. I have made a bed for him on the couch.

I spent the day preparing for my lesson tomorrow on sections 3-5- tomorrow I need to write it all down.  I also went grocery shopping, did laundry, cleaned house, and graded papers. I am getting sleepy!

It’s a big week for everyone- Madsen takes the LSAT Friday. Leydi takes her citizenship test. Maleck has his last b-ball game, you await transfer news, dad waits to hear back about the sale of Papa John’s, and Stockton and Amanda move- lots of praying to be done!

Take a deep breath Emma- your next adventure is going to be awesome! Read section 4 of doctrine and covenants did you k ow it was actually given to the prophet’s dad)

I love you em,
Sweet dreams- talk to you Monday….. xoxoxo

Hi em,

It’s been a rough week, but a great Saturday!
Friday was a prayerful day as I pulled over on my way to work and said a prayer for madsen, leydi, maleck, and you!

Madsen feels pretty good about the LSAT, Leydi passed the citizenship test- woot woot! Maleck had a great last game and you…. I pray for u all the time as your daily tasks are meaningful and purposeful!

Today, dad finally felt a little better- we even went grocery shopping together. We also played games with gma and gpa weaver and enjoyed dinner out with madsen and maleck.

Last week felt super long due to CCR week and getting everyone registered.  When I left the school at 8:30 Thursday night, I was super exhausted! Thank goodness for weekends.
Both boy and girls b-ball te took region and swim team took 2nd at state.

I am loving the doctrine and covenants. If I think of it as a book of prayer it very powerful. I feel like Heavenly Father is speaking directly to me.

Em, I can’t wait to talk to you Monday and get the full report. Enjoy church

I love you very much…. Doubt not, fear not!

The Lord’s hand is guiding you. By “divine design,” He is in the small details of your life as well as the major milestones. As it says in Proverbs, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; … and he shall direct thy paths.” I testify that He will bless you, sustain you, and bring you peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

From Elder Rasband

Love you so much!

Hermana,

Thanks so much for the sweet Valentine! It made my day.  Dad spoiled me with gorgeous yellow roses, chocolate a gorgeous diamond ring…. You are going to love it!

We spent our Valentine’s Day delivering roses and chocolates to the 27 widows on our ward. This is our 2nd year doing it and I love it!

Today we enjoyed watching the boys’ b-ball team. Tromp Ben lomend. Maleck even got a little playing time. CV won by 50πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

I enjoyed going to the temple earlier in the week with dad and the youth. I loved it so much!

I also had fun Thursday - it’s my play date with Steele. We made cookies and a huge mess.

I am a little beer the weather, but doing okay. Dad is snoring away while I wait up for maleck.  I still need to prepare a little more of my lesson!

Stockton and Amanda got moved into the middle floor- it’s adorable. Seleck and leydi are coming g next weekend- can’t wait to see them🩷. Madsen is busy getting paper work done for law school. He is eagerly awaiting his LSAT scores.

I hope you have had a great week. I love and miss you so much, but I am grateful you chose to serve our savior!

Hi em,

Dad is playing funny things on his phone as I send your my Saturday night note. Last week was pretty rough- BAAAAAD cold. I even had a sub half day and came in late the next day( I had prep and Trent took stud gov).

So needless to say, I slept a lot after school llasy week, binged watch a show and read a book. I did enjoy book group, and I was well enough to attend Bella and Demi’s baptism today. They are so cute and silly- I took gpa Jake. He was sweet,

Seleck, Bella and leydi came Thursday night. Because of my cold I didn’t really see them until Friday night. We have had such a good time.

Maleck had a hard week- he didn’t get asked to sweetheart’s- the word on the street is that he is too religious and that makes others feel bad for their choices——-

Madsen has done some cleaning at Papa John’s this week. It makes dad happy and Madsen grouch. I sure hope he get his LSAT scores this weekπŸ™πŸ»

Dad…. Grouchy, good, sweet, tired, working

Stockton and Amanda have been around a bit this week so that has been nice! Steele is getting so BIG!

Seleck and leydi are trying to move back to cedar. I hope it works out!

GMA and gpa weaver- so sweet. GMA fed is dinner last week. She wanted to prove to herself she could do it.

Today marks 13 months as a missionary for you. Wow- can u believe it! I am so proud of you and love you so much!

I hope all went well with the baptism tonight.
Can’t wait to talk to you on Monday!

God speed!

Hey Hermana,

Dad and I spent the past two days enjoying basketball at UVU. The CV boys placed 5th and girls are state champs! It was so fun.

On the way home, we went to look at a trailer at fountain green and I found a few treasures. Check out the wooly lamb.

I hope you have had a good zone conference and missionary training!

Love you so much Em!

God speed!
