6 months! Can you believe it. I know I can´t. These last 6 months have gone so different than I would have ever imagined. So many lows but also so so many highs! You all know and I how I love running analogies. I had a coach email a few months ago and just talked to me about how he thought my junior year my heart wasn´t in it and then my senior year he was in shock how well I did and how much I loved it. I am not going to lie I am still learning to love the mission just like how much I loved my senior year of cross country. In a BYU speech called "Let Us Run with patiene the Race That is Set Before Us" says that with little small steps you can begin to LOVE the race! I am sure each one of you right now are having a hard time just being happy where you are at. You are waiting for the next exciting thing to happen in your life, when quite honestly you could be missing the best "run" of your life. I know that we take a step back, count our blessings, take it one lap at a time, and push forward having faith in Jesus Christ you will be able to begin to love your "race."
There is a video in the gospel library that I have proabably watched a million times in the last 6 months. You have to watch it! I'll add the link below. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Heavenly Father when you are about to fall. It causes unnecesary pain. He is right by your side, every step of the way. Just like a coach HE wants you to succeed! USE HIM, it well help you run the race that is set before you. Life isn't a sprint, it is a marthon. Keep trying, keep running, keep pushing. YOU are here to keep going!
Highlights of this week:
-Mission temple trip! There is nothing else like sitting in the Celestial Room with a bunch of missionaries!
-Me and Hermana Smith celebrated our half birthdays together! When we found out that we had the same birthday it was our dream to be companions January 17th. But half birthdays are just as good I suppose!
-our neighbor, Luz, she is the cutest lady ever! She has become our mom out here! Always giving us hugs and is baffled that two little white girls speak spanish
