5/17/2024 The last couple days have been a little slow. Just got done doing personal study and I am now 50% done with the book of Mormon. I don't know what I would do without this book. It brings me so much peace. Yesterday we were on bikes again too. It was a really long day to be quite honest hahaha 😆. I also had the grossest meal yet. It was so spicy I don't even remember what it was called but The chicken and rice were just covered in this black paste stuff. We had a lesson with a recently returning member Amy though and then she gave us cookies and watermelon. And then we had a lesson with our friend Satcha, she is 9. And her mom made her quesadillas with homemade tortillas. They were delicious! We then busted our butter over to a lesson with our friend Ismael, but he wasn't home, and it was already 8:45 so we decided to just go home. Had a meeting with jen yesterday. I love her. Told her about how I have been getting quite anxious about transfers, and she helped me a little but not that much to be honest. She also brought up how my running has helped me a lot, and she thinks that me being a runner has helped me fight through this, which I absolutely agree on. I read James 1:2-8 in P study just barely and man it helped me a lot. I wish I would've read earlier. Tonight, we have some good lessons and English class. I hope our friends come! I'm excited. I also hope Lily is doing good in the MTC. I miss her so much! Alot of our friends are not progressing a ton so we have to see how to re just to better help them. Also, I saw that dad changed his profile photo of the two of us on beaver mountain, and in fact did cry. Anyway, this is just all my crazy thoughts. Sorry if it doesn't make sense. Ok so it is night now and today was so good. Well after we got going. The lunchtime nap really helped. We taught a family tonight and they want us to come back and teach them again next Friday!!! We also talked two cute old ladies! One of them said we were her angels hahaha. And the other one gave us a big hug. Literally the cutest. Unfortunately, we won’t be going back again because they said they are too old, and we they just can’t do it hahah. Oh well. Then we had a member meal with the Carrieras! They are my favorite members here! They also mainly speak English so it it was so comforting. We had odd conversations tonight. Some of it was about constipation and abortion. Just random stuff, she is a doctor so it makes sense though. Her son is in the same mission Raeghan will be in, but in Spanish. And my district leader is from that mission, so it is literally just a small world. Then after dinner we went and taught this cute family!! They are recent members, and they are just adorable! They have a seven-year-old daughter, and she ran up to give us hugs when got there. Then we had English class… only one person came. so awkward. And then on the ride home we had a phone lesson with our friend ismael and we taught him the first half of the plan of salvation, he understood it pretty well. And then I ask him to say the closing prayer and he did so good. He even asked to bless our families (not a lot of people do that). I just hope he can h=keep keeping commitments to progress to baptism. I am getting a little frustrated with Spanish more. I want to talk more, but I dont talk more, so I don't know how to talk more. It is frustrating, but I am trying. 5/18/2024 -good day! -had our first lesson with this girl named Yucking, pronounced Yukeen. She is super prepared. All her aunt's family are members. She brought her daughter who is 16 to the lesson too! Got to connect with her through basketball. Met this check from a Facebook referral. She might be coming to church -got some mangos from a fruit cart!!! So bussin! -finally was an instrument in the lord's hands for real. We were walking down the street, and I saw this lady out of the corner of my eye and I literally just yelled at her and said hi, she invited us into her home to share a message. Like I didn't even think I just did. -We have district calls once a week. But this one was especially good. He said if we had enough faith in the lord to leave our heavenly home to come here. Why can't we have more faith and trust in the lord here on earth. That was crazy. And then he proceeded to talk about how the situation for me was a little unfortunate, but he said he has learned a lot from me that I just kept working and didn't shut down when lots of missionaries would have. Obviously, he doesn't know the situation, but it was nice to hear that someone is proud of me. I was also to be in his district at the start of the transfer, and we were talking about how it is so good that I am back in his district and that is how it was supposed to be all along. My companion and I are starting to see our area pick up a little bit. And seeing the rewards of our efforts! We work all day and don't get home till like 9:15. And I wouldn't have it any other way. because this work is the best

5/19/2024 Yucking came to church today!!! I sat by her. She is so cute!! Invited her to be baptized!! I also sang in the choir today hahaha it was interesting. Wore this funny thing around my neck. Oh, we cleaned the house a little during lunch. We opened up all the windows and back door while listening to motab. This one moment gave me so much joy and i don't even know why. I am starting to feel real joy. I think today is the first day that I genuinely thought that I like being a missionary. God is good. We taught 30 lessons this week and made 10 new friends. Me and hermana marble are working hard!!! Work hard, love god...it's simple
