Missions are crazy, so much can happen in a hour, a day, or a week. I've been out here in Cali for a little over month now and I've found myself on the tops of mountains, but I have also spent so much time on my knees pleading with my father in heaven. I may only be 6.5 hours away from Cedar City but dang it feels like so much farther. Living in a apartment with 3 other fluent spanish speakers + not being able to connect well with my companion is hard, being away from family is hard, the ward relationships are bad which is hard, not being able to speak spanish and share my love of God is hard. BUT it's like running. You have to do a hard workout to get faster. You don't just magically get faster overnight. The same thing applies to a mission/life. Ether 12:6 says that we don't recieve a wittness until AFTER the trial of your faith. Growing pains are necessary in order to grow. Whatever you are going through CHRIST KNOWS EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!
In high school I had a coach who told us we were only running 9 400s, but after the 9 he said one more, and then one more, and then one more, and then one more. I didn't think that workout was ever going to end. But it did. And I ran those 400s faster in that workout than in any workout before. And becuase I held out through the pain I PRd so much in the next races.
The same thing applies to life. God has you go through trials to learn, grow, and get faster. And the best part is, Christ is with you every step of the way.
This last week was crazy! We had a zone wide fast for all 19 of our friends who are on date to be baptized! And after zone council we broke our fast and made a ton of pancakes!! I also went on a couple exchanges this week with Hermana Zavala and Hermana Dooney! They are seriously the best and it was a very good break. Our friend Christian got baptized and confirmed on Saturday! All week we stopped by to make sure he was prepared! He got a haircut, shaved, bought new shoes, pants, and a shirt! He pulled up in style to his baptism on his eletric wheel chair. He wanted me to give a talk, so i did, in spanish, it was probably the shortest talk ever given hahahaha. After christian got baptized as soon as he came out of the water he shouted "I DID IT!"
I hope we can all be more like Christian. Following Jesus on the covenant path, and pushing through our trials, so that one day we can tell the Savior "I DID IT!" And the best way to do that is simple. Work hard and love God!

It has been a second since I have journaled. So much has happened. Got in a pretty big fight with Hna pacheco, literally thought I was going to go home, went on exchanges with hermana marble for the weekend, and now she is my companion. So now I am in the El Molino area which basically covers Pasadena and El Sereno. THE AREA IS HUGE! And it is so pretty. I love my new apartment it is cockroach free and has AC. So I am loving life. And the other two hermanas are SO SO FUN! My new comp is literally the goat. She is so christlike, and she literally gave up being STL so we could focus more on our area. I have seen hna pacheco a couple times, and I have tried talking to her but she just doesn't talk back so that is fun for me. And her new comp won't really talk to me either now, so that kind of sucks. And they are both STLS so I don't know how that is gonna work if they both dont like me now haha. The new area I am in is so fun. Plus elder davis from the MTC is in my area so that is fun. And Elder Lemus, his companion, is just hilarious. This week has been so much better already. Plus my comp goes running with me in the morning and we just have a similar drive literally goated. I also got some medicine yesterday wahoo!! They said it should take up to 30 days to start working. I also got to talk to Jen yesterday, she is literally my new bestie and God really new what was up putting her in my life! She was like why the heck didn´t you call me this weekend hahaha. We are pretty similar with our anxiety and stuff so she just gets me. We had zone confrence today and it was so LIT. I am working on this week trying to reach out to my savior and using his help more, and relying on him. And just getting super comfortable with my relationship with him. This week has had its ups and downs, but definitely more ups. I love the friends that we have here. We have two on date to be baptized the next two weeks! And the members here are so helpful. This was a change that I definitely needed.

Fire day. Started off by doing by running two miles with some hill repeats in between. So gas. Didn’t sleep super well last night but that is ok. Not a ton happened today because we had weekly planning, but we had a super good member meal and taught the lady's granddaughter. She is a single mom with 9 month old. She is a member but is wanting to increase her faith, so we are reteaching her. SHE SPEAKS ENGLISH thank heavens. The spirit was so strong and I could just feel the love of god her. Then we went and taught english class. LITERALLY SUCH A MIRACLE, we met this guy last weekend and he came to church, and then he came to english class today and brought his three brothers and they are all going to come to church on sunday. They also cant say rigby, so it is hilarious

-did a fire workout this morning with Hermana Marble
-LUNCH WITH THE HERMANAS for Hermana kims bday. Some of the hermanas are still acting weird to me, but whatever
-My new area has big hills because it is close to the mountains. IT IS SO PRETTY
- saw prez jones today. he gave me a good pat on the back
- had a mothers day celebration tonight. LITERALLY THE BEST THING EVER. Me and hermana marble were having so much fun. One of the Hermanas in the ward taught me how to dance a little bit with her. LITERALLY SO FIRE

-biked 20 miles today!
-we took this most beautiful bike path today For like 5 miles. It was crazy!
-made 2 new friends!
-had a super awkward member meal hahah
I'm loving the new area I am in. Literally so gorgeous!!
