June letters from mom

 June 1, 2025

Hermana,

Good evening. It has been an eventful week. On Tuesday I finished my last contract day. Wednesday was full of errands and a “to do list” including gathering flags and the cemetery with Suzanne and her daughter Annie. I enjoyed walks with Suz, Jaimie and Julene. I also enjoyed two playdates with Steele and 15 basketball games- 7 of which were Saturday- maleck is sooo sore! He has really progressed and is getting some varsity playing time. Tomorrow we are going to Mesquite. He will have 4 games Monday and 4 on Tuesday.

Seleck, leydi, and Bella returns next Monday and Peru.

Stockton and Amanda are drowning in school, work, parenting and gardening.

Madsen- prepping for departure to law school

Maleck- lifting, eating, sleeping, b-ball repeat

Dad- it’s the beginning of the month- need I say more!

Me- going back to the gym tomorrow- it’s going to be hard but GOOD!

I hope you have had a great week! I can’t wait to talk to you tomorrow!

Hermana,

I love your new profile pic! And your hair is adorable!

This week has been basketball and more basketball. However, I did manage to bake bread, cookies, and make homemade jam! Today I cleaned the house- 3 cheers for me!

Nothing much else happening. Being back at the gym has kicked my trash- I c out of seriously have a nap everyday- I guess being 50 is great!

Dad and I did make it to the temple, and I did put your name on the prayer roll! I am praying for you!

I love you Em. I can’t wait to talk to you Monday!

God speed!

Good morning,

Hermana…. Good morning. This pas past week a a delightful blur! I had so much fun watching maleck play b-ball at UVU, A LOT of games. I was also able to go on a walk past my grandparents’s home- so many memories!

When I got home, I tried to catch up n all things home- yesterday, I spent the day helping dad get ready for the block party. I thought about you as I knocked doors and invited neighbors to the party. It was a great turnout and a lot of non members came. That’s a win! So many f the neighbors asked about your return- we are all excited- including hazel sutherland❤️

I am so excited that Micah s gong on a mission. He is actually gong to the same mission as Jocelyn Arnold. Super cool!

Can’t wait to hear about your first week with your new companion. I am so proud f you Em!

June 15, 2025- Hey, Team Jesus

sister Vasi is s home and sister Pace will soon be- wha a magnificent time to be a missionary’

Yesterday, I thought of all of you as I “knocked” doors inviting  neighbors to our black party! It was a great turnout. Many of our non member friends came - woot woot!

As I type this little note, I am sitting in elder Steffensen’s farewell. He did such great job speaking. He thanked his friends for their guidance and support- I know he was speaking to many of you! Y’all are amazing!

keep up the great work! You are in my thoughts and prayers!

How are you waiting for Jesus?

Hey team Jesus,

on my evening walk tonight,  I was listening to a podcast about doctrine and covenants 45. This section is about the 2nd coming! And one of the questions posed by the podcasters was how do you wait for Jesus. Do you wait with urgency and hope- are you like the 20 month old child who waits at the door for his/her mommy to return with urgency at tand won’t let go of her once her walks walks in the door. I like to think about this image and imagine myself clinging to Jesus!

I hope you are all doing well and that you are enjoying the many adventures of being a missionary. I know sometimes the days are long and that others just fly by…Hang in there you are on God’s teamπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.

The school year is winding down. This week we had our student government banquet (Monday night) and the. Wednesday we went to red cliffs and hiked a bit. It was a beautiful day. Today, I met with next year’s team. Where does the time go?

I pray each of you is concentrating on your missionary purpose!

Gos speed

Hermana,

Hi EM, can you believe it? You are at your 17 month mark… woot woot.

It is early, and I am snuggled into bed-not feeling so good! I have spent the past two days watching maleck play ball. Today was his final day of summer ball-45 games later.

It has been a good week. I had my first sleep over with Steele- I am glad I had you kids when I was young. He was a lot of fun… I love being his Grammie.

I have a BIG to do list, but I am not getting much done- yikes. Hopefully this week is better.

Lots of fire and wind here- pretty scary.

I am on target with the B of M and I am loving it.

Jesus heals… run don’t walk towards him. Keep up the great work.

God speed!
