A note from Mom- Good Morning Sunshine!

 August 11, 2024

Hi sis, how are you Em?  I hope the sun is beautiful in California today.  I drew the short stick this morning; I had car wash duty.  It took me a bit, so I am rushing.  Thanks so much for the fun vlogs, and photos this past week.  They were so much fun.

This past week has been awesome.  I have enjoyed being back to work with my friends and colleagues.  We have had just the right balance of trainings and independent teacher time.  We even had a "teacher retreat" on Tuesday with a very awesome speaker and axe throwing- no I did not throw the axe.

Student govt. is back at it.  Thursday was Freshmen orientation, Thursday was our car wash,  and yesterday morning we painted the bleachers.  So far, I am really impressed with this group- fingers crossed.  Last year was odd.

Saturday was great- I baked bread and made cookies- put some in the mail to you and then I did some catch up stuff and figured out my apple watch a bit- I hope.  We also watched the US play France in basketball for the gold.  It was a lot of fun.  US came out on top- Hurrah.  I may even just be a Lebron fan now.

 Here is what I know
Seleck, Leydi, and Bella- I haven't heard much- thank heavens for facebook.  I am going to go up on Labor day weekend.
Stockton, Amanda, and Steele - they are having maternity pics this week- so fun.  Amanda's last day of work was friday.  I think they are both relieved.
Madsen- up and down and all around.  Thank heavens he is training a new GM.  He is thinking about going to grad school.  We played scrabble last night
Maleck-I am a little worried about him.  He is super quiet and is withdrawing a bit.  But he did say on the way to football  the other night, "Shout out to Heavenly Father for making that awesome sunset."

Dad- he seems to be doing better.  He, Stockton, and Maleck went scouting yesterday, so that was fun for him.  I like it when he is happy.

Me-  I am feeling much better health wise, so that makes everything much better.  I seriously have nothing to complain about.  I really feel great joy in my heart.

I love you and I can't wait to visit with you tomorrow.  I am going to the gym at 6 and then I have to be to the school at 8.  I don't think I have any meetings, so reach out when you can.

I love you - te amo mi hija
