6/3/2024

Today was cool. Had a lesson with our friend Delfino. His sister mad enchiladas and gave us some Then we had a super cool family home with the ward. We did role plays with them! It was so fun! They seemed to enjoy it! Me and Hermana Smith gave a little trying in Spanish and it went well, I think. And one of the Hermanas said that I am Parr of their family now and if I need anything I should let them know!

6/4/2024 Trying each day to see the hand of God And seeing how I can apply the atonement in my life. Today was kind of long but also kinda fast. Went and saw my recent convert christian today! He is doing great! Went to a member's house to eat dinner and help with stuff. It was funny to have 6 missionaries there hahah. Then we went and gave a really big bom to our friend Maria and she literally kissed the book. She was so excited! Then had something really cool happen… Hermana smith's uncle served in this mission for two months before he got his visa! And he baptized one of the members in our ward! So we called him up and they got to talk to each other! It was so fun! Me and Hermana Smith had a lot of fun today! Plus, I have been redecorating The pad and it is looking so much better!! 6/5/2024 I'm tiered so this is gonna be short -getting good a stopping people in the street - we ate lunch in the park and talked about funny things - met with jen…She think I might have ADD, she is also gonna send us a meatloaf recipe -met with our friend Eduardo… super interesting. It's hard to see if people are understanding what we teach - maybe found us someone to help teach us Spanish -English class was cool. Only a RC was there but she is chill. -had the best quesadillas of my life!

6/6/2024 -biking day!!! -got sunburnt -some guy gave us 40 for lunch - met a cool guy named willy who likes baseball and God -went out to eat at this really good tortas place -took a nap on the grass in the sun in the park for 5 minutes. Best nap ever - lesson with Jose! He's so prepared and excited for his baptism!! - stopped at a crepe truck on the way home! Literally so so good!! -played basketball with a kid who lives in our apartment complex hahah! My testimony of the Book of Mormon (wrote it to send in so they can create a book full of all of the missionaries testimonies for the next zone conference) I often think about the story President Nelson told about how he gave a copy of The Book of Mormon to a king and the king replied somewhere along the lines of, "You could've given me diamonds or rubies, but you gave me this book." The Book of Mormon is truly just priceless! There have been many times in my life when I have needed to find peace or answers and I have always been able to find what I am looking for in the pages of The Book of Mormon. This book truly is my favorite book and quite frankly the only book I ever read. I am so grateful for the Prophet Joseph Smith for restoring this gospel so that we can have the Book of Mormon. I don't know where I would be in my life without it. I know that God has given us this book to be a strength for us in these days. I know that through reading the Book of Mormon every day we can become more like our savior and redeemer Jesus Christ! I may not ever receive a pillar of light full of truth like Joseph Smith, but I know that through the Book of Mormon I can receive my own little rays of light to help all of us become more converted disciples of Jesus Christ! I am so grateful for this great book and the great gift it is! In the name of He who will always come, Jesus Christ, amen. -Hermana Rigby

 6/9/2024
Well, it is Sunday, and I have some catching up to do. The last few days have been crazy. Friday wasn’t anything special. In fact I don’t remember anything. Oh, wait we talked to some cool people one guy Jose he was dope, he basically came up to us. He had cool eyebrows that is all I remember hahah. Then we talked to this other chick, and we taught her about temples and those cool things. Saturday, we had exchanges. Didn’t want to do that… we went to our friend Maria house. She is a cute lady who has come to church a few times, and we asked her to pray about baptism earlier this week and she said yes yesterday!! So maria is getting baptized on the 23th! We took her to a baptism yesterday and she was so excited! She was telling everyone she was getting baptized! Then we had dinner with the Barrales! They are the cutest little family! It was so yummy, and she has the coolest conversion story! Me and Hermana Smith are starting to write letters to all the people who feed us throughout the week, that we can show our appreciation a little better! So I have been working on that. When I got back home and saw Hermana smith I was so happy! I missed her! Hopefully our friends come to church today! 6/9/2024 Well our friend Jose who is on date is ghosting us. He didn’t show up to church so we had to take him off date. But delfino and our friend Maria came! I love those two so much. We have a lot of work to do here, its hard because I feel like I can’t communicate. Hermana Smiths Spanish is so much better than mine and I know I shouldn’t compare but it is almost impossible not to. You both already know that I had a hard day. You helped me calm a little bit. It has just felt like a really long week, and I feel like I am just standing still. I saw that some kids from cedar got home from their missions this week and I just feel like I am never going to get to that point. It is hard to focus on the work when my mind just keeps drifting elsewhere. Day ended pretty well though, a lesson with Delfino. He is so sweet, he is one of the first people I met when I came in and he is super impressed my very little Spanish. Also had a lesson with a cute family today! They invited us to her daughter's birthday party this week! I am so excited! Gonna buy her something at Walmart tomorrow!
